What you will do

• Lead, coach, and performance-manage a BD team of six or more associates.
• Own team targets for pipeline, conversion, and revenue outcomes.
• Design outreach playbooks, pitch scripts, and weekly operating cadences.
• Escalate and close high-value deals alongside the Business Development Lead.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a healthy, forecastable sales pipeline.
• Run daily/weekly huddles, reviews, and skill coaching for the team.
• Track KPIs, incentive outcomes, and individual performance plans.
• Collaborate with marketing and product to improve conversion quality.

Requirements

• Proven team handling experience with a minimum of six direct reports.
• Clear revenue-driven track record in sales or business development.
• Strong coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to work from the Chennai office with ownership of team outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience in EdTech, institutional sales, or B2B partnership motions.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and sales operating systems.
• Prior experience hiring and ramping early-career BD talent.
